DAVENPORT, Iowa – July 5, 2017 – Genesis Health System and ACAP Health Consulting announced today a unique partnership that will drive down obesity and metabolic syndrome (MetS) rates across the country.
The two organizations will partner to take ACAP Health’s clinically-proven obesity and MetS reversal program, Naturally Slim®, directly to healthcare systems throughout the U.S.
Naturally Slim is an obesity and metabolic syndrome reversal program that is delivered online and through mobile app. The program is most often made available to employees as part of their employer-sponsored health insurance package.
A study published in the Journal of Metabolic Syndrome & Related Disorders (October 2015) revealed Naturally Slim® as an effective solution in reversing MetS. The study showed MetS reversal in 50.7% of participants who started the program with the condition.
Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of risk factors that can lead to a 700% increase in serious conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Each year, employers pay approximately 60% more in health insurance claims for employees with MetS versus those without.
Genesis, ACAP Health Partner To Provide Employee Health Solution
Through the partnership, Genesis Health System and ACAP Health will begin a campaign that will raise awareness of Naturally Slim® within other health systems across the country.

Since that time, 57% of the Genesis employees who were at risk for Metabolic Syndrome reversed the condition by following behavioral skills taught by Naturally Slim®.
